3 policemen suspended for handcuffing woman in Andhra

Rajahmundry (AP), Jun 22 : Three police personnel were suspended for handcuffing a woman, who was accused for duping villagers in Madhavaram Village of West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh.

The accused S Sathamma, was arrested on Saturday for allegedly duping scores of villagers by selling duplicate gold ornaments, police said.



She was handcuffed and also her legs were tied by the police while she was taken to the court from the police lock-up, an eyewitness told Zeack.



On reaching the news, top police officials suspended Rural Sub Inspector Rajasekhar, Constable Sambasiva Rao and Venkateswarulu, yesterday, police said. Zeack
